September Kicks Off Runup to 2019 World Ag Expo®

Tulare, CA – The 2019 World Ag Expo® season was kicked-off in style on Saturday, September 8, with fried chicken, root beer floats, and a fun-facts quiz by 2019 Show Chairman, Carla Khal. The 52nd World Ag Expo® will run Tuesday, February 12 through Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the International Agri-Center® in Tulare, CA.

A longtime show volunteer, Carla Khal was chosen to lead the 1,400 volunteers who have staffed World Ag Expo® since its inception in 1968.

“It is an honor to be chosen as the World Ag Expo Show Chairman. I’ve worked at the show since 2002 and the Khal family has strong ties to the show,” shared Khal, a local attorney. “I enjoy helping to make the show happen and getting to work alongside my husband and sister-in-law on the Media Committee.”

The 2019 show theme, “Harvesting Technology” was chosen by Khal to highlight the innovative products and exhibitors that come to World Ag Expo® each year and to focus on the future of technology in agriculture.

“Time and labor-saving systems are growing in the ag sector. We see more at World Ag Expo each year,” said Jerry Sinift, International Agri-Center® CEO. “We always look forward to seeing the entries for the Top-10 New Products Competition, sponsored again this year by Bank of America. In 2018, we had everything from a self-driving orchard sprayer to an app that could do feed analysis in the palm of your hand.”

Entering its 52nd year, World Ag Expo® is the largest annual outdoor ag tradeshow in the world. In 2018, the show saw 106,700 attendees from 49 states and 63 countries. With 1,500 exhibitors and 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space, World Ag Expo® provides a platform for networking, education and business in one of the most productive ag counties in the US.

Tickets are now on sale online and attendees can plan their visit at www.worldagexpo.org. With a diverse lineup of agriculture companies and seminars covering international trade, irrigation, women in ag and more, there is something for every ag professional at the 2019 World Ag Expo®.
