Tulare, CA – The brush fire that started around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, has been contained. The fire was located on ground adjacent to land used for parking during World Ag Expo®, but was not on International Agri-Center® property.
The origins of the fire are unknown, but appears to have been set accidentally. An official ruling by the Tulare Fire Department is pending.
“The fire was well away from our show grounds, but wind was a concern. The Tulare Fire Department was quick to respond and made sure the fire was contained without serious damage to property or any damage to structures,” said Jerry Sinift, International Agri-Center® CEO. “We’ll be helping to clean this up for about a week.”
The fire has no impact on International Agri-Center® operations and preparation continues for Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 13, 2018 and World Ag Expo® running February 12-14, 2019.
