Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Marketing Manager, Graphic Designer, Show Operations Manager and Exhibitor Services team to produce professional, engaging content for social media, exhibitors and the general public.

Essential Functions

  • Keep a robust social media program for all International Agri-Center® events and productions – includes Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Linked In and other digital platforms
  • Responsible for coordination of World Ag Expo® exhibitor media documents, morning TV remote interview scheduling and working with World Ag Expo® Media Committee
  • Assist Exhibitor Services Administrative Assistant with World Ag Expo® seminar nominations and seminar speaker communications
  • Responsible for coordinating World Ag Expo® Show Guide, Volunteer Guide and Exhibitor Services Guide content and edits
  • Responsible for coordinating World Ag Expo® Show App paperwork, content, design and maintenance
  • Responsible for coordinating California Antique Farm Equipment Show® program content and edits
  • Generate website content for all departments and Orange Jacket page
  • Generate content for e-blast campaigns
  • Write monthly volunteer newsletter
  • Research agricultural issues
  • Monitor PR Listening service and recommend journalists to interact with, leverage information in social media and communication plans
  • Edit press releases, publications, ads, marketing scripts, etc. as needed
  • Schedule and maintain freeway sign ads
  • Assist Sponsorship Sales Manager with contracts, recordkeeping and sponsor communication as needed
  • Assist Sponsorship Sales Manager with executing sponsorships – hanging banners, collecting digital files, etc.
  • Assist Marketing Manager in developing marketing programs and media/advertising budget
  • Assist Graphic Designer with photography as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have an Associates degree, Bachelors degree preferred; 2 years of relevant experience can be substituted for education
  • Position requires excellent face-to-face, written and telephone communication skills; excellent planning and organization skills, and attention to detail
  • Must have business/brand social media experience
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple departments 
  • Strong project management skills with ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines
  • Willingness to perform tasks above and beyond job description, as needed 
  • Agri-business background preferred 
  • Ability to learn and utilize other Web Based and Proprietary database programs
  • Must demonstrate ability to be flexible and patient
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills
  • Superior customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Public relations-style writing skills preferred
